Just when we thought we’d seen it all over the last four days, Day 5 served up fresh perspectives — playful shapes, clever functionality, and original, stand-out stories tucked into the seams. Here's what had us snapping photos and stealing ideas.

By Day 4, the 63rd edition of Milan Design Week felt like a living canvas. Designs weren’t just shown, they were felt: in textures, in spaces, in the way people navigated through them. Thoughtful details, refined palettes, and ideas that lingered long after the first impression – all underlined what we saw and experienced. Here are some of the highlights from the fourth day.

As we find ourselves approaching the midway point into the 63rd edition of Milan Design Week, the world’s design capital feels like a living archive – each district layered with ideas, textures, and voices. On Day 3 of the world’s premium design event, we saw a shift — from statement pieces to quieter, more intentional work — and a deeper focus on storytelling.
We started off the day by visiting the Fama booth, where we
saw their new fabric sofas, combining soft textures with soothing shades and
new chic prints. While the sofas in different hues offer a soothing palette and
plush seating that enriches any living space, Fama’s printed sofas inspiredfrom Javier Mariscal’s art offer a canvas of comfort where textile meets
imagination in every stitch.
Next up, we visited the Koinor booth where we came across
their collection of designs that help in unwinding effortlessly while wrapped
in elegance. While their rocking armchairs bring motion and relaxation into
perfect balance, their sofas unite sleek design with cutting-edge technology –
a true celebration of artful silhouettes meeting expressive hues in
harmony.
We then visited the Natuzzi stall where we stumbled upon
their new Mindful 365 sofas. These sofas implement their state-of-the-art
triple motion mechanism and “365” seating system to nurture complete relaxation
for the mind and body – while ensuring the perfect balance between breathing
and heart rate for holistic wellness. We then moved on to the NicolettiHome
installation where we experienced their new recliners featuring fully
adjustable headrests – courtesy of a mechanism that supports both forward and backward
motion.
Sofas continued to steal the spotlight on Day 3, as we
discovered a plethora of sofas that combine heritage with innovation. Modular
muses in motion, shaped by softness and stillness – we saw NicolettiHome sofas
featuring plush cushioning and adjustable backrests for complete relaxation,
followed by pieces from Pianca and Calia Italia that were the definition of
sleek silhouettes and thoughtful craftsmanship – thoroughly engineered for
personalised comfort.
Next, we visited the Alf outfit where we came across their
desks and dining tables – while their desks designed for focus support clarity
without compromising on design, their lacquered tables strike a perfect balance
between shine and structure. We capped off the day by visiting the Jaked x Connubia collaboration outfit – a lightweight and sustainable piece inspired by
the fluidity of athletic movement, and which is perfect for any setting – from
the living room to the gym.
As the third day of Milan Design Week 2025 came to a close,
it was clear that the conversation around design is deepening. The focus has
shifted from the purely visual to the conceptual — where craft, context, and

Day 1 at Milan Design Week 2025 opened with a vibrant surge
of creativity, innovation, and boundary-pushing design. As the doors swung
open, the global design community converged amidst bold ideas, striking
installations, and future-forward concepts that reimagine the way we live and
interact with our spaces.
Starting it all off, Day 1 took us to the Superdesign Show
in Milan, where we explored the unseen future of living spaces, and witnessed
tradition give way to transformation in real time. Designs sculpted harnessing
technology and keeping the future in mind stole the show on the opening day, and
set the tone for what’s to follow over the next week.
Design and water beautifully combined in Geberit’s Where
Water Meets Design – an immersive experience that celebrates and harnesses
the essence of water into innovation. We then came across OneFabrica’s One-fab
objects “f(x) = ? ” – an innovative, and sustainable technology crafting
reusable and eco-friendly structures from aluminum pipes and fabric.
More innovation followed as we came across Light Bites
from Habits – luminous, interactive tableware that uses lighting to add a
performative element to the art of dining, while Artphabetable by Daniele
Cema, a low table composed of an ensemble of small canvases brought the
disciplines of art, graphics and design together in an unprecedented
manner.
Next up, we saw KALD Studio’s SurfBench – a bench
that redefines seating as we know it, harnessing kinetic energy into a smooth,
wave-like motion without motors or electricity. We then moved on to Carla
Tolomeo’s L’albero della vita, a surreal work of art that serves as a
metaphor for the constant renewal of existence, before we stumbled upon Niklas
Jacob’s Funnyture – a furniture collection that explores the boundaries
between design and communication by prioritising artistic expression.
Next, we came the Unforgettable exhibition curated by
Giulio Cappellini and Leonardo Talarico, a celebration of the spontaneous way
of living design – following which, we came across Elizabeth – The Queen Of
Bowls by United Pets, an elevated pet bowl featuring an Elizabethan
collar with a pop identity.

Maximalism
The minimalist aesthetic has had its time in the sun, and we expect maximalism to end its heyday with a grand arrival at Milan Design Week 2025. Bold colours in furniture, intricately crafted accents, and opulent cabinets are back in vogue, as the layering of different ornate elements adds diverse depth and interest to any contemporary setting – making every corner of the living space a feast to the eyes.

The boundaries between indoor and outdoor furniture are fading fast, and furniture that can work as either is a theme that is likely to be in focus during Milan Design Week 2025. Sustainability remains at the forefront of modern interior design trends, making it a probable key theme in Milan Design Week 2025. Designers across the globe are focused more than ever on creating aesthetic spaces that are built keeping the planet’s future in mind. Statement Lighting

flowers create a quiet rhythm, inviting a sense of calm – unveiling the perfect
backdrop for a warm summer outdoor retreat. Speaking of which, why don’t we
walk you through ours?
As we step out of the back door onto the lawn, we see our cosy little retreat – a stretch of lush greenery encircled by a stone pathway, with a crystal-clear swimming pool in the middle. Positioned at the pool's edge, we come across the Vila sun lounger by Ezpeleta, crafted with Phifertex® fabric for easy maintenance, antibacterial protection, and moisture resistance. Adjustable to five different positions, it allows you to soak up the afternoon sun at just the right angle, inviting quiet relaxation – cool drink in hand, soft warmth on your skin, and the occasional splash of water adding to the sense of tranquillity.
A little further along the poolside, a sleek Quatro Duo
Fix table awaits, set with refreshments. Sturdy and impact-resistant,
this Ezpeleta table stands strong against everything from a toddler’s playful
shove to a mild storm. Flanking it are Ezpeleta’s Fado chairs,
crafted from 100% recyclable materials that come with anti-UV protection to
keep the surface cool so you can bask in the sunlight comfortably.
Completing this setup is the Eolo Pureti umbrella, offering both shade and cleaner air.
